We had a very exciting week last week. On Tuesday I had my golden birthday, turning 26 on the 26th. I am now on the uphill climb to 30, yikes!! Tuesday we had a great time eating dinner at McMenamins with the Revord crew and my Mom and Doug. Friday Trey threw me a growler party at our house. For those of you that don't know a growler is a BIG jug of beer filled at your favorite brew pub. Although Maddox had a major melt down it was a really fun night with friends and family. Saturday the birthday fun kept on going with a homemade dinner at Klugs. Vanessa did an awesome job of making jagerschnitzel and we had fun playing a few games of spoons. I was very spoiled with a whole week of birthday fun!!
Yesterday Maddox had his 2 month doctors visit. I can't believe 2 months have already passed, our little guy is growing so fast!! He now smiles non-stop (it is next to impossible to get on camera) and talks up a storm. Maddox weighs a whooping 13 lbs 6.8 oz and measures at 24.5 in; this puts him in the 97th percentile for height and weight! He brightens every single day for Trey and I and we can't imagine our lives without him.

First Family Vacation
This last weekend we were lucky enough to go with Grandma and Grandpa Klug and family to Seaside, OR. It was Maddox's first long car ride and much to our relief he slept, well, like a baby the whole way. The weather on Friday and Saturday was great and we only had to deal with the rain and wind on Sunday.
Our weekend was filled with a ton of fun! On Friday we went with Aaliyah and Samantha to the arcade. Maddox had a fun time watching the girls play games from his baby carrier. On Saturday we started the day with doughnuts covered in Butterfingers; they were oh-so tasty! The rest of the day we took advantage of the sun and walked the beach and through the shops and Trey even spent some time in the pool with his sisters. Saturday night the family all spent time together to celebrate Jasmyne's 5th birthday. Sunday we headed to Cannon Beach before we had to go home. Maddox had his first trip to Mo's, but unfortunately he is not quite old enough to try the chowder yet, maybe next time.

Updated Pictures
Things have been going great around the Klug house. Maddox is doing really good; at one month he weighed 11lbs and was 22 inches long, he's a big boy!! Maddox now smiles (which is almost impossible to catch on camera) and "talks" to us. He is sleeping pretty good, waking up only one time a night, which Mommy and Daddy really enjoy. There is never a dull moment and he keeps Trey and I entertained.
This weekend coming up we will be going on our first vacation to Seaside, OR with Grandma and Grandpa Klug and the Klug crew. It will be a great time and I will be sure to post pictures as soon as we get back.

Koda and Maddox - Best Buddies
Merry Christmas!
We had an awesome Christmas this year! Maddox is such a sweet boy and having a new baby sure does make the season that much more special and gives you more to be thankful for. We ran around all Christmas and it was nice to be able to spend time with our family.
Christmas Eve was filled with fun at Great Grandma and Grandpa Klug's followed by presents from Santa at Grandma Dagmar and Grandpa Randy's house. They are foster parents of six girls and it was so fun to be there while the girls enjoyed their gifts from Santa. Christmas morning we were up bright and early and to Aunt Sarah and Uncle Brian's house by 7am. Santa had stopped there too and it was a blast to watch Kaelen, Graysen and Logen open their gifts. The rest of the afternoon was spent EATING!! We ate a Christmas dinner with Klugs at 1 and then with the Revords at 5. I think we had to be rolled back home by the end of the day!

Here comes Santa Claus!
I can't believe it is almost Christmas. We spent most of the day today finishing up our shopping and hopefully this weekend I will be able to get everything wrapped. This last Wednesday Maddox had a chance to visit with Santa and tell him everything he wanted for Christmas; I have a feeling he is on the nice list this year.

We were very lucky that Trey was able to take three weeks off when Maddox was born, but sadly the time has finally come for him to head back to work. Maddox and I are going to miss him a lot during the day and we will try our best to hold down the fort.
